Cookies
Just one cookie, and all it does is remember your language.
01In short
This website uses no advertising cookies, no analytics and no social media trackers. That is why there is no consent banner.
02The only cookie: your language
- Name: lcdc_lang
- Purpose: remembering the language (French or English) you chose with the language switcher, so you land on it next time.
- Set: only if you use the language switcher.
- Lifetime: 365 days.
- Set by: La Casa du Cosplay, no third parties.
This cookie is strictly necessary for a service you explicitly requested and is therefore exempt from consent (article 82 of the French Data Protection Act).
03Storage in your browser
For a smoother visit, the website uses your browser’s session storage (“sessionStorage”), for instance to remember that you have already seen the opening animation. This information never leaves your browser, is shared with no one and is erased when you close the tab.
04Videos and third-party content
Videos are hosted on the website itself: playing them sets no third-party cookies. Should external content (a YouTube video, a social media post) ever be added, it would only load after you click on it.
05Managing cookies
You can delete the language cookie or block cookies at any time in your browser settings. The website remains fully usable without cookies: it will simply open in your browser’s language.
06Future changes
If audience measurement were ever added, it would rely on a privacy-friendly, cookie-free solution, or require your prior consent with refusing being as easy as accepting. This page would be updated accordingly.
